A New Day Reverse Raffle

A New Day Logo
Thank you for supporting Forbes House at our annual reverse raffle as we celebrated A New Day for survivors of domestic violence. This event raised money for Forbes House, Lake County’s domestic violence shelter. Money raised benefits survivors and families who stay at Forbes House and use our community services, like support groups, counseling, and prevention education.

The Impact of Your Support

Last year’s event, Unmasking the Unspoken, raised enough to provide 141 nights of safety for survivors and their families. Your support truly makes a difference in the lives of individuals in Lake County. View images from last year’s event on this page.

During our annual campaign in 2016, we shared that $30 buys four helpline calls with trained crisis advocates, $45 funds a counseling session for a shelter or community client, and $60 provides case management with a legal advocate. It costs $1.17 per day to feed an adult client three meals a day plus snacks in the shelter.
